Because this diagnostic test is accomplished by using a very large magnet, we must know and will ask you if you have or ever had:

•     Cardiac pacemaker
•     Brain aneurysm clips
•     Staples or implants*
•     Presence of metal in the eyes
•     First trimester of pregnancy
•     Pacing wires
•     Active medication pumps**
•     Neuro-stimulators

*this does not apply to cataracts

If you have had previous x-rays, MRI or CAT scan of the area being scanned, please bring them and/or the report with you.
